Field Scenario
A vendor wants to price a used instrument at nearly its original retail price, reasoning that it “still works perfectly.”
What You Actually Explain
- Price should reflect actual current condition, not original retail price or personal attachment
- Researching comparable listings gives a realistic pricing benchmark
- An overpriced item relative to its actual condition will likely sit unsold
- Marketplace fees should also be factored into the pricing decision from the start
